Iran has struck down an Israeli ship for the 5th time in seven months, and nothing has been done about it. This time, the attack claimed the lives of a British and a Romanian citizen who was aboard the Israeli-owned MV Mercer Street that set sail in Tanzania and was headed for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
There’s been only a trickle of condemnations so far, with one from the UK and NATO on account of its deceased citizen and member on board, and the US which struggles to warm up its frigid alliance with the lone democracy in the Middle East, since Biden’s ascension to power in January.
The EU’s lip service condemnation of Iran’s terrorist acts has been strongly described as distasteful in the light of the death of a citizen of its member nation, Romania. The heavily dissented body with a waning relevance was condemned for sending a top envoy to the swearing-in ceremony of one of Iran’s bloodiest genocide warlords, Ebrahim Raisi, who executed hundreds and thousand of prisoners and political enemies for over 33 years, barely three days after the news of Iranian attack broke.
Like a sleeping dog, the UN has remained mute on the development. It’s deeply infested frolic with knavish nations Like Iran may not permit the anti-semitic world body to ‘hurt Iran’s feelings and face her tantrums.’ The highly controversial body continues to fold its arms as Iran multiplies its efforts to develop nuclear weapons chiefly for Jihad purposes.
All the world awaits now is a counter-strike, as promised by Israeli PM, Naftali Bennet to resume its production of propaganda and reproclaim Israel a bully.
The cycle is all too familiar. May God save Israel from all its enemies disguised as friends
