BIDEN SET TO MEET TINUBU AS US SCRAMBLES TO SALVAGE WANING INFLUENCE IN AFRICA
The US has announced plans to hold talks with Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, in a closed-door meeting at the forthcoming United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) scheduled between September 18 – 26.
Tinubu reportedly became the only African leader selected for the all-crucial meeting, given the lack of options for Biden, as more African nations threw their support for the expulsion of French neo-colonialism in Niger while others joined the newly-formed BRICS. Both regional developments present serious threats to the US’s waning global influence.
The meeting has left the young and clueless Nigerian government fawning over its overnight importance to the US after being snubbed twice during regional visits by ex-President Barack Obama in 2015, and current VP Kamala Harris earlier this year.
It is expected that the US will seek answers from Tinubu on his hesitancy to strike Niger and ultimately coerce the controversial president into attacking the neighboring country to dispel a growing Russian influence within the region.
Nigeriens, unsurprisingly, have, so far, expressed their acceptance of Russia’s Wagner forces and are hell-bent on ending the destructive exploitation of the French and other Western cronies operating in connivance with the nation’s corrupt government.
Since assuming office in 2020, America’s foreign policy under Biden has been criticized as a colossal flop, with the whole of Europe now suffering the brunt of a needless Ukrainian war. With BRICS in full swing, the Democrat-run America is fast becoming a global eyesore unperturbed by its rapidly waning relevance.
Still, it is unclear how Mr. Tinubu will react to pressure from a US government sufficiently aware of his drug-related offenses, including forged certificates from Chicago State University.
Given the silence surrounding the violent and fraudulent Presidential election that gave birth to a Tinubu presidency, it is only fair to assume the US perceives Tinubu as another dirt-filled “Zelenskyy” fit for manipulation by the White House.
Elections have consequences.
The Democrat-run America is an example.
Nigeria may be the next unless the electoral tribunal intervenes.
